The PrehKeyTec PKT 4000 is available in a compact, in-the-counter OEM version. The USB interface simplifies the connection to the computer, and additional USB ports on the scanner make it easier to connect other devices.

The document scanner PKT 4000 from PrehKeyTec offers a variety of scanning and reading functions for ID cards, travel and identification documents. The scanner was designed as an all-rounder, especially for companies that conduct identity checks using ID cards and/or passport documents. It accelerates the identification process in companies, banks, car rental services, or in mobile phone stores as well as during check-in and boarding of passengers. This simplifies workflows while providing a high level of reliability.

The standard version of the PKT 4000 features an integrated image sensor for capturing digital images as well as 1D and 2D barcodes, even those found on identification documents and boarding passes. Simply place the document to be scanned on the glass surface – done! The corresponding LEDs on the surface indicate the scan status. The integrated OCR reader also quickly and reliably captures machine-readable documents, ID cards, or visas.
